When it comes to hair loss and weight gain, why is there a double standard between men and women?

Why is it more acceptable for men to lose their hair and to gain weight while women are scrutinized for the same battle men fight against every day. Millions of women suffer from male pattern boldness as well as we do weight gain. It's just as heartbreaking and shameful for us women as it is for men however our double standards says a woman is basically unworthy if she is over weight or suffers from hair loss. Ironically, a lot of women is to blame for perpetuating such double standard by judging other women by the length of our hair and the mass of our bodies. No wonder so many of us has low self esteem. Why do we live by these two particular double standards? When it comes to hair loss and weight gain, why is there a double standard between men and women?
I really can't tell you, but women are supposed to be ';pretty';?When it comes to hair loss and weight gain, why is there a double standard between men and women?
