Post-baby hair loss, when does it stop?

Before I go entirely bald would be nice lolPost-baby hair loss, when does it stop?
I had my daughter last November and I'm still losing TONS of hair! My fiance' can't stand it and neither can I. I have really long hair and I'm actually considering cutting it because we find hair EVERYWHERE in our house! I don't know when it stops either!?Post-baby hair loss, when does it stop?
It shouldn't last more than a month or two from when you started losing. If you continue losing in large amounts longer than that you should see your doctor to have your thyroid checked. Hair loss after pregnancy is normal but it can also be caused by a thyroid condition which is more common after pregnancy when hormones are fluctuating so much. I sympathize, I used to have to clean mine out of the vacuum roller every couple of days starting a few months after each of my kids were born.
Hello, i'm a hairdresser, firstly, while your pregnant you don't lose as much hair and it feels thicker and fuller, you body is so full of goodness, and producing nutrients your hair gets a boost, but once a hormonal change happens after you've had your baby, you start to shed al the extra hair, so do not stress or worry about it, that is not good for you or your baby!! you wil not go bald! do not be scared to wash it, as that is good for your scalp, stimulating!! there is a vitamin which is good for your hair it''s called ';kelp'; available from health stores, (holland %26amp; barret or somewhere) i hope this helps and please don't stress about it, it's normal!!
LOL, I had this problem with my last child. I stopped losing hair after about 7 months. I suggest continue on your vitamins. It grows back, trust me.

Edit: I looks worse than it actually is. I was losing hair before I had my son. I would wash and remove clumpfuls of hair. It really does look worse than it is. And, it really will grow back. With my current pregnancy, I have been fortunate enough to not have to go through it again.
Ha! I asked this question not long ago myself.

My little one is 3.5 months and its still coming out!! It has begun to slow however so I guess that is a good sign! If I remember right people said that its been 15 months and its still happening!

Just hang in there! There isn't a lot you can do but it will stop soon!
haha. my baby is 6months old and mines still falling out badly!! i used to hate the fact i had thick hair (i mean really thick) and now im so so thankfull, because if it were any thinner i swear i would be bold by now. im not sure when it stops but i hope soon.
It should stop soon. The worst is when it starts to grow back... then you will have bunches of tiny hairs sticking out everywhere. Lol... I have a patch right in front that sticks strait out.
it stops round about 6 months mine started coming out when baby was 4 months and is 6 months now and not as much falling out now. pillow used to be covered in hair every morning.
wash every other day or let 3 days go by, you won't go bald it just feels like it, your hormones are working to get back in order right now so be patient
i had this for quite a while, at least two yrs, and the hairdressers told me some people go on for 3 yrs!

Ask haridressers what added vitamins you could take to help!
May be 6 month after
