Can anything be done about men's hair loss besides surgery?

Hey guys, yea i'm a female, but I still have a question about male pattern baldness. I'm just wondering if anyone has had any true success with any of the products that market themselves as succesful. Other than surgical hair plugs, is there anything that can be done to stop it? My boyfriend is 20, and is starting to lose his hair and was wondering, so i'm doing some research! thanks!Can anything be done about men's hair loss besides surgery?
Did he request that you research with/for him, or are you unhappy with what's happening to him? I'd suggest looking at Bosley if he's really interested in good results. Most other products require a lifetime commitment.

You should really just accept it...it happens to a lot of men.Can anything be done about men's hair loss besides surgery?
there's propecia and rogaine. both have their ups and downs, and may or may not work.

what worries me is your attitude. what are you gonna do when you are 40 and stuff is starting to head south and wrinkles are appearing daily?

I'd be more worried about what's in his head and heart than what's covering his head. Youth and beauty are fleeting; substance is forever.
about it you can get information from here http://treatment-for-symptoms.notlong.com/?q=propecia%26amp;qid=20090611191415AAYFg8H
well If you want something really protective against your hair loss you should use the herbal shampoo Zulvera .

It is very effective and 100% will surely help you

Nope... but tell him not to worry. Apperently, bald men have more testosterone. So make him feel better by telling him he's a manly man, who's more man than all those pretty boys :D
surgery or a wig. follicle treatment is quite effective.
anyway as you know - hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! Find out the actual cause of hair loss! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections ,hormonal problems, to mention a few. but anyway you can always try and get real results.

year ago my husband suffered from hair loss too and he started trying everything you can imagine to stop his hair loss. the things that really worked for him was:

1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;

2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;

3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;

4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);

5) also used herbal treatment.in that case Provillus is a good product that helps prevent hair loss and it is an FDA approved product. I think it is very important!

It worked and still works for him!

I do not know if any pharmacies carry Provillus but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.provillus.com/?aid=749165

good luck!
