Are GPs qualified to do blood tests for hair loss symptoms?

i suspect i have anemia or iron%26amp;zinc deficiency that has caused my hair loss. though i can't rule out hereditary hair loss either but i'm still very young and in high school!!! Are GPs qualified in that area? i think dermatology specialization is also required? Are GPs qualified to do blood tests for hair loss symptoms?
Your GP is a good place to start. Have him/her also test for thyroid problems (hair loss is a very common complaint among persons with thyroid dysfunction). Are GPs qualified to do blood tests for hair loss symptoms?
Zinc can reduce iron consumption. If you use head %26amp; shoulders shampoo (which contains pyrithione zinc) it can lower your iron which can cause hairloss
