Hi everyone. I have a serious problem. I'm 17 and my hair is very thin on the top of my head. Now I know hair loss shouldn't bother me but unfortunately, it does. Could there be something wrong with me? What can I do to stop and reverse the problem? P.S. My family does have a history of bald men. Oh and I would prefer something natural. ThanksHow do I stop and reverse hair loss?
year ago my husband suffered very much from dandruff and hair loss too and he started trying everything you can imagine to stop his hair loss. the things that really worked for him was:
1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;
2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;
3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;
4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice (you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);
5) also he used herbal treatment - TrichoZed or/and Provilluss (do not use Rogaine - it will not work!)
Those are a good products that helps prevent hair loss and contains Biotin and the clinically tested ingredients approved by the FDA to help re-grow your hair.! I think it is very important!
It worked and still works for him!
I do not know if any pharmacies carry TrichoZed but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here

and here
http://www.provillus.com/?aid=221781
It enhances hair growth by blocking DHT (Dihydrotestostrone) - a major cause of hair loss!
good luck!
not only my husband`s own personal experience + working as a family physician

Sorry to hear about your hair loss! It's one of those things most people take for granted.
Okay, it's definitely hereditary in your case. Nothing you've personally done to cause this.
First step is to take different vitamins and make sure your health is good overall. Try Saw Palmetto and other herbal supplements (pick them up at wal-mart).
Make sure you are not overstressed. Try to relax a bit. Stress can do crazy things to your body. How is your stress level?
If vitamins don't work, try a commercial product. Lots of them are effective, but it depends on the individual to find the most effective one because everyone is different.
You mentioned that you want something natural. The big thing with commercial products is to make sure the active ingredient is FDA approved!
I'll post a link to a product which gets good reviews and is used internationally, all over the world. They have some sort of special going on right now where you can try their product (I think).
Go with the cheapest option to try it out first so that you don't waste your money!
Go to the doctors. They can give you a cream most probably to make the hair stronger so therfore it won't come out. So i recommend you see a doctor and don't try colouring your hair.
Make no mistake about it. Some hair loss is not preventable. Every one of us loses 100-150 hairs a day in the natural cycle of hair growth and death. It is normal and should not be cause for concern. Further, larger amounts of hair loss can occur at specific times in life – illness, surgery, pregnancy, life-changing events, anxiety and stress, and certain diseases. Again, these are treatable and, in most cases, temporary.More-than-normal hair loss can be prevented in several ways:
1. Keep your body healthy. Body health translates into scalp health and allows follicles to continue to produce hair to replace that which is lost. Good diet and exercise, to increase blood circulation are really important.
2. Stop injuring your hair: Harsh shampoos and coloring/treatment products, used in excess, will kill your hair. Your follicles cannot replace hair as fast as it is falling out when your hair is severely damaged. Likewise, use dry heat as little as possible – blow dryers and curling irons dry out and crack hair, causing it to break off in more than normal amounts.
3. Find ways to reduce stress and anxiety in your life. If you over-react to stressful situations, lose sleep, sorry constantly, you are on the road to more health concerns than just loss of hair. But make no mistake about it, your hair will fall out in greater amounts.
4. Use topical treatments for your scalp. Essential oils and combinations of herbs can be very helpful in keeping follicles open and productive
.5. Use medical products developed by a variety of pharmaceutical companies, both in lotion and pill form.
6. Start early. As soon as you experience hair loss that has been confirmed not to be a result of another health condition, begin your investigation of the wide variety of treatments available. You will have to experiment and you will have to be patient. Many products require 3-6 months before you see visible results
7. Don’t give up. Use the product that works best for you right now, and look for new advances in the area of hair loss. Medical research is “on this,” in a big way, and lots of money is being poured into the search for a permanent, universally effective treatment.8. If no prevention treatments have the effect you desire, consider wigs, hair pieces, extensions or even hair transplantation. Worry and distress over hair loss is not worth your time and effort, especially if it begins to affect your mood, your social life, and your general emotional well-being.
When it comes to dealing with hair loss it is important to understand what is causing it as this will better able you to treat the problem. While in general the cause of hair loss is DHT there are questions as to why DHT occurs. The core question is - does it occur due to testosterone?
In actual fact it is said that testosterone is not really the cause. In actual fact the hormone that can cause DHT build up is estrogen. Too much estrogen in your system can cause the over production of DHT. Like anything else when it comes to the human body the key to health is balance. If something is out of line you need to address it
To get this process underway you need to start cleansing your body. A little detox can go a long way. Excess estrogen can be caused by pollutants and various different toxins. Toxins can be found in many areas and one such area you need to address is your diet.
Eating fresh organic fruits and veggies and drinking plenty of water will help your body to start cleaning itself out. You can also purchase products to help cleanse the liver. Beyond that you will need to pick up a shampoo to start cleaning the DHT off your scalp. One shampoo I use for this is Nixon and it has worked well for me.
Beyond that you can purchase herbal supplements to help block the DHT and if at the same time you work on cleansing your body before you know it you will be able to reverse this problem.
To conclude I always feel that when tackling any condition you should do so on multiple fronts. This way your odds of success are far greater and furthermore you have the added advantage of improving your health.
