What do you use as an alternative to not using heparin?

I have a patient who is on dialysis and has had hair loss. The patient was put on minimal heparin at first but it was stopped. This was then changed into dalteparin or fragmin. this is more expensive compared to the heparin but it can help prevent further hair loss.Has anyone on heparin notice considerable hair loss? If you stop using the drug will the hair grow back?
